Terms of use
MTG Spellbook is distributed through Apple's App Store, so Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to your use of it. What follows sets out the few things specific to this app.
What you get
A licence to use MTG Spellbook on Apple devices you own or control, under the terms of Apple's standard agreement above. The app is provided as it is.
The purchase
There is one in-app purchase, Spellbook Unlimited, at $7.99. It is a single payment, not a subscription — nothing renews and nothing expires. It removes the free version's limits on collection size, saved decks and camera scanning, and turns on iCloud sync and the export formats.
Purchases are handled by Apple and are tied to your Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Family Sharing is enabled, so the unlock covers the people in your family group.
Your data
Your collection and your decks are yours. They are stored on your device, and in your own iCloud storage if you turn sync on. I hold no copy and have no access — see the privacy policy.
Exporting a full backup of your collection to a file is free, and will remain free, including if you never buy the unlock. You should not need my permission or my continued existence to keep your own records.
Card data and prices
Card text, images and prices come from Scryfall, and combo information from Commander Spellbook. Both are independent services. Prices shown in the app are indicative, are not offers to buy or sell, and change constantly. Do not make purchasing decisions on the app's numbers alone.
Deck legality, bracket classification and combo detection are the app's best assessment and are not a ruling. For anything that matters — a tournament, a commitment, an argument — check the official rules and your event's organiser.
Selling on Mana Pool
MTG Spellbook includes an optional feature, currently in beta, that can list cards from your collection on your own Mana Pool seller account. Any sale it helps you make happens on Mana Pool, under your Mana Pool account and Mana Pool's own terms, fees and fulfilment rules — MTG Spellbook is not a party to those sales and I receive nothing from them.
The feature is built to check its work and to stop rather than guess, but it is new, and prices and listings are ultimately yours: review what the app proposes before you send it, and confirm your shop on Mana Pool's own site shows what you expect. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for fulfilling your orders.
No warranty
MTG Spellbook is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It is a tool for organising a card collection and building decks with it; it is not a financial record, an insurance valuation, or an authority on the rules of Magic: The Gathering.
Changes
These terms may change as the app does. The version in force is the one posted at this address, and the date at the top will change when it does.
